Baking:
The most obvious way to give the gift of cookies is to bake them yourself at home. If you are someone who likes cooking from scratch, head on over to Kraft.com and check out their many recipes on homemade cookies. The fun part is that they have printable tags you can create to add to the cookie container when you are done. You can find a vintage tin or a cute cookie jar and put your handmade cookies in there with a big bow on it.
Semi-handmade:
Sometimes we just don't want to cook. Guess what, sometimes your family and friend's don't want to spend a lot of time doing it either! There is a way that you can help ease the amount of time and energy spent on making cookies for yourself and your recipients. The way you do this is just by making the cookie dough and rolling them in small balls. Take the balls and place them in a large glass jar. Refrigerate. Give as a gift, just like that, also with a printed tag from Kraft. When your friend is ready to eat the cookies, they can just place the dough balls on trays, flatten, and bake! Simple and yummy!
Cookie-tins:
If you don't mind splurging on already made cookies, then this is the option for you. You can find these cookie tins in gourmet bakeries or even at the mall. Your friend can get a variety of yummy, delicious and gourmet cookies to enjoy with the entire family. The variety tin is a good bet if you don't know their taste in cookies because they can choose their favorites.
Cookie Package:
A fun way to give the gift of cookies is to create a cookie package that allows your recipient to bake their own cookies, freshly made. Head on over to the store and pick up a box of your friend's favorite cookies. You can also purchase cookware that goes along with it, such as mixing bowl or silicon spatula. Treat them to some nice bakeware they can use time and time again.
Bakery:
If all fails and you just can't find any of the above, there are always bakeries that make cookies fresh daily. Buy a festive Christmas plastic container, such as Gladware. Head to the bakery and order a dozen of freshly baked cookies. The fun thing is there is such a great variety to choose from. You can buy macadamia nut, peanut butter, or chocolate chip and more. Place the cookies in the plastic container and give this as a gift. Just be sure to purchase the cookies the day you will be giving them.
