Christmas Cookie Dream

Cherry flavor cake mix, 9x13 baking pan, preheat oven to 350, make cake according to directions, you will need chocolate pudding, cool whip, green food coloring, when cake is cooled cut in 2 inch squares about the size of a cookie place cookie cakes on a platter, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on the platter and then place cookie cakes on the platter, then take and spoon the chocolate pudding on the cookie cakes, put a few drops of food coloring in your cool whip until you reach the desired green color, you spoon the green cool whip on top of the cookie cake and sprinkle with red and green candy sprinkles, refrigerate until served, fun for kids also.

Snowballs

2 cups self rising flour, 1 cup sugar, ½ tsp. baking soda, 1 stick of butter, 1 tsp. almond extract, 2 eggs, ¼ cup powdered sugar, ¼ cup cold water, in a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, butter, almond extract, eggs, mix well to form a firm dough add water tbs. at a time as needed, flour your hands and form cookie balls in your hands, place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in oven at 350 for 10-15 min until done, when cooled roll in powdered sugar and place in powdered platter, be generous with powdered sugar, these snowballs are for eating, no snow ball fights, enjoy.

Snowflakes

2 cups self rising flour,1 cup sugar, ½ tsp. baking soda, ½ cup coconut, 1 tsp. almond extract, 1 stick of butter, 2 eggs, 1 jar maraschino cherries, cold water, in a large bowl combine all ingredients except for the cherries, preheat oven to 350, mix ingredients well, add cold water as needed to form a firm dough, place on a floured surface roll out you can use cookie cutter to make the snowflakes or you can use a knife and make your own snowflakes, place a maraschino cherry in the middle of each cookie, bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-15 min. may vary according to where you live, when cookies are done and cooled, place on a sugar powdered platter, drain the rest of the maraschino cherries and place cherries around cookies and sprinkle more coconut over cookies.
