Making and eating Christmas cookies are some of my favorite things about the holiday. Some are traditional and others are just good. Here are a few cookie recipes I use for the holiday.

5 cups flour, sifted

1 cup butter

1 cup confectioners sugar

1 cup sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

2 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Cream sugar and margarine. Than add oil, vanilla and sugar in that order. Mix and add eggs. Put in sifted flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar. Mix well. Shape in balls or use cookie cutters to make shapes. Dip in sugar and cook for 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
