Wooden Spoon Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Materials Needed:

Wooden spoon

Brown foam

Red pompom

Wiggle eyes

Glue

Black paint

Help your kids by drawing two antler shapes on the brown foam. Then let them cut out the shapes that you have drawn. Glue to the bowl end at the top sof the spoon. Let dry completely. Glue on the wiggle eyes. Glue on the pompom for a nose. Paint the mouth on with the black paint.

Optional: Put a small amount of glue on the antlers and sprinkle with glitter for an extra special glitzy effect!

Paper Plate Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Materials Needed:

1 small paper plate

1 large paper plate

Brown paint

Brown construction paper

Red pompom

2 large wiggle eyes

2-4 brown pipe cleaners

Glue

For this activity, first paint the fronts of the plates and let dry. Arranging the plates to be a reindeer (large plate is the body and small plate is the head), glue the plates together. From the construction paper, cut 4 strips to be used as the legs. Glue these strips to the bottom of the big plate. On the small plate, glue the wiggle eyes on and then the pompom as a nose. Draw a mouth. Twist several pipe cleaners into antler shapes and glue onto top of small plate. Wouldn't this homemade reindeer look cute on your walls as a Christmas decoration!
