Amawaterways offers a fantastic cruise on one of its newest ships the ms Amacello. This cruise sails from Budapest to Nuremburg calling in at some of Europe's most fascinating cities such as Bratislava, Vienna, Passau, and Regensburg.
A cruise at this time of the year gives you a complete sense of what river cruising is all about and the fact that the ship is just as important to the cruise as the ports in to which it calls. The ship is not somewhere that you return to after a day of sight seeing it is somewhere that you look forward to coming back to after a day of sightseeing.
The ms Amacello offers four jr. suites which are located on the violin deck and have 255sq feet of comfort and space plus French balconies. Most of the other cabins have 170sq ft of space and most have French balconies.
The suites and cabins are furnished white on white set off with earth toned spreads and draperies. You will also have a spacious desk that has a complete infotainment center with a monitor, music stations and movie selections plus internet access.
The bathrooms are spacious with v-shape showers, hairdryers and terry robes.
The ms Amacello also has a wellness area where you can enjoy a massage, have a workout plus you can also make use of the complimentary bikes.
The home lounge on this ship is extremely popular with passengers offering an assortment of comfortable chairs and couches where you can get involved with a card game, read, use your laptop or just chat with others.
There is also a bar and beverage area where you can enjoy free tea, cappuccinos, espressos and coffee plus pastries and soups.
Of course part of a cruise that is important is the food and dining options and Amawaterways does this beautifully. The ms Amacello offers an elegant dining area where you can enjoy a fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Each day breakfast begins with champagne and an assortment of pastries and bread followed by a huge buffet where you can also get eggs to order and enjoy regional specialties such as waffles, blintzes and Viennese sausages.
Lunch consists of appetizers and homemade soup followed by a regional entrée such as wiener schnitzel in Bavaria. And of course there will be a variety of absolutely delectable desserts.
Dinner is the absolute piece de resistance with all the food being of truly gourmet standard.
On this cruise there are many tours planned to give each passenger an in-depth insight to the local attractions but don't worry there is lots of time for private exploring.
The last stop , Nuremburg, is famous for its gingerbread and toys and is home to the largest Christmas market in Germany.
