Christmas Decor for the Bathroom - Linens
Start your holiday decorating by bringing out the festive Christmas towels. When guests come over, let them dry their fingers on red, green, or white towels trimmed with fancy ribbons, lace, and appliqued with holiday themed images.
Many holiday towel designs have matching curtains for purchase along side them. You can also find special rugs with holiday themes. Having all these items match in theme, design, or color is important for this small space. For example, don't have holly-printed towels with a snowman rug and a manger-scene curtain set. Go all out and change all linens in the bathroom at this time of year.
Christmas Decor for the Bathroom - Decorations
In bathrooms with generous counter space, consider buying a small, one or two-foot Christmas tree or comperable decoration and displaying it. You can use a small strand of multi-colored lights powered by battery to replace a usual nightlight or other dim lighting in the bathroom.
Hang a wreath on the wall, dangle holiday balls and bells from the towel hooks or light fixtures, and use pine or tinsel garland to deck the medicine cabinet or the top of the shower curtain fixtures. You might like to hang a small holiday bauble from each ring on the shower curtain as well.
Christmas Decor for the Bathroom - Winter Wonderland
If your tastes run more to the natural winter style than the glitzy holiday decor, consider turning your bathroom into a winter wonderland. Use fake snow flocking to create snowdrifts on your window and window edges. Place a basket of pine cones and satin Christmas balls on the counter near your soap. You can also find special holiday soap in festive red, green, and golden tones.
Whether you enjoy a bright and shiny Christmas decor theme, or prefer a snowy pine woods look, you should decorate your bathroom along with the rest of the house. From the easy of changing the linens and putting out special holiday guest soaps, to hanging garland and Christmas baubles, you can spread the festive cheer even in those few private moments all your holiday guests will take.
