# Canned Jar Luminaries-

Items needed -

Canning jars

Colorful nonflammable items, such as buttons, candy, marbles, and aquarium rocks (try to stick to red, green and white colors)

Votive candle

Votive cup

Procedure-

Wash and dry the canning jars. Fill jars one-half to two-thirds full of colorful nonflammable items.

Place a candle in a votive cup and nestle it in the center of the jar.

# Sparkling Beaded Candle-

Items needed -

Beading wire

Wire cutters

Glass or plastic beads

Hot glue gun

Hot glue sticks

Procedure-

Cut a piece of wire approximately 36 inches long. Place one bead on the end of the wire; thread the wire through the bead a second time to secure. String the beads on wire, securing the last bead as for the first.

Wrap beaded wire around candleholder to determine placement. If a longer length is desired, cut and bead an extra length of wire.

# Beautiful Container Candles-

Small containers can be used as candleholders to make striking mantel arrangements or centerpieces when they are kept together. Farmer markets and country side small stores prove to be the best hunting places to find vintage egg holders, candy dishes, vases, tart tins and tea or coffee cups to make these holders.

Things you would need-

Clear glass and metal containers like egg holders, candy dishes, bud vases, tins and tea cups

Candle making kit

Antique ornaments (can also be found in dollar stores)

Ornament hangers

How to make them-

Wash and dry the containers. Polish the metal containers if you wish to.

Fill each container following the instructions provided with the candle making kit. Embellish the candleholders with tiny antique ornaments hung from the tip of the container.

Your beautiful container candles are ready to be used and displayed proudly to the guests on Thanksgiving or Christmas time.

# A Bouquet of Candles-

Instead of standing candles solo in soldier straight rows, you can casually group them like fresh cut flowers in a vase. Use aquarium gravel or sand to anchor the candle bouquet in a decorative glass vase or urn.

What you need-

Wide mouth glass container or vase

Sand or aquarium gravel

Drip less taper candles

How to make them-

Wash and dry the glass container or vase. Fill one-third of the bottom with sand or gravel.

Arrange a group of drip less candles in the stand. Allow each candle to fall casually to the side, resting on the container edge.

You can also paint these candles in red, green and white for a more festive look.

On the whole, candles set stage for a luminous table setting or hall setting. Small mirrors, beads and glass enhance the candle light and bring in the festive glow too.
