Christmas Decors

What to Decorate My Heart This Christmas

Adianez
Indeed! The air is filled with the air of another most awaited holiday of the year, Christmas. Even the shopping malls all over town are playing Christmas carols already. Buyers, old and young alike, can't help but hum to themselves the sweet lullaby of Christmas which brings back memories, lifts up weary hearts, and encourages worn out spirits.

These are some of the effects of Christmas. And along with the anticipation that comes with it are the decorations that wittingly catch our eyes.

But there are decorations that must also be adorned and placed in our hearts only. These are the ones that truly matters, what is within.

Here are some of the decors I am talking about:

Decoration #1 The Christmas Tree of Impartiality
We do not seem to set up the tree of impartiality in the midst of our heart throughout the year. So, this Christmas, it is best to bring it up once more and adorn it with the virtues of old. I will definitely find one that is as big as the ones set up in the malls.

Decoration #2 The Christmas Lights of Generosity
As many as the lights that twinkle in our tangible Christmas Tree, that should be the number of lives that we can help shine through the things that we are able to share to them. I wish I can make it that many so I am starting today.

Decoration #3 The Christmas Star of Forgiveness
Not everyone recognizes the power of forgiveness in our hearts. I have grown to believe that without forgiveness there is no real joy. There is only agony, frustration and disappointment. If we give all of our thoughts and skills to nurture hatred there will no longer be enough energy left to look into our own hearts. The star of forgiveness brings peace and harmony, abundance and beauty; what more can we ask for? I will definitely hang one star of forgiveness in my Christmas Tree of Impartiality.

Decoration #4 The Many Christmas Bells of Blessings All Throughout the Year
Count your blessings. I can count them easily when they are conveniently ringing up in my Christmas Tree of Impartiality. Every time I feel like someone is not being fair with me, I will just have to count the many times Christ has forgiven me for my own mistakes. I will not feel bad at all after that.

I love Christmases. I love the many Christmas decors. I love the atmosphere it brings. I love the gifts that come with the season. I just love one more completed year of my life rejoicing in the kindness of my God. One more year to give Him thanks and glory. Happy Yuletide season to all.
