Christmas Dog Treats

You make cookies for your neighbors and your friends at Christmas time, but what about your dog? He is man's best friend, after all. You can easily make your dog some Christmas treats using ingredients you probably already have in the house. You shouldn't give your dog regular cookies, as they could contain ingredients that are not good for dogs. The following recipes are safe for your pup.

Christmas Treat #1

Get out your food processor and throw in one egg. Make sure you remove any shells before you continue. Now add one-and-a-half cups of whole wheat flour, the same amount of Bisquick, half a cup of chopped mint leaves, four tbsp. of margarine, a quarter cup of milk, and one-and-a half tsp. of corn syrup. Combine. Throw some flour on your work surface area and place the dough from the food processor on the flour. Roll it out and cut Christmas shapes out of it with come Christmas cookie cutters or your knife. Place on a baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place in a Christmas tin or a plastic zipper bag after they have cooled.

Christmas Treat #2

In a large bowl place nine cups of whole wheat flour. Add one cup of yeast, one tbsp. of salt, and one tbsp. of garlic powder. Mix these ingredients together and then add three cups of water. Once this is combined, you will have some dough. Place some flour on your floured work space area and roll out the dough. Cut the dough with Christmas cookie cutters and place the shapes on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for no longer than 15 minutes. Turn your oven off and let the treats sit until morning.

Christmas Treat #3

In a large bowl add two-and-a-half cups of whole wheat flour, a quarter of a cup of nonfat milk, half a tsp. of salt, half a tsp. of onion powder, half a tsp. of garlic powder, two tsp. of brown sugar, one tsp. of beef bouillon granules, and one egg. Once these ingredients are combined, you will add half a cup of ice cold water. Mix again. Lay some flour out on your work space area and spread out the dough. Roll the dough out and cut shapes out of the dough with Christmas cookie cutters. Lay the treats on a baking sheet and cook for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
