The Alphabet Christmas Song Game
The first player must think of a Christmas song starting with the letter A. He must say the name of it, and then sing two bars of it successfully. If he messes up, he takes a drink. The next player does the letter B, then C, and on. When all agree that no song starts with a letter, it is skipped.
The Alphabet Christmas Movie Game
In this game, you go from A-Z naming Christmas movies. After announcing the title you say your favorite quote from the movie. If you slur it, you've got to gulp it.
Season's Greetings
Each player must say a holiday greeting like "Merry Christmas," or Happy New Year's, Hanukkah, Yule, or "Happy Holidays." It gets repetitive, but you wouldn't believe how often people mess up. If you take more than a few seconds to respond when it's your turn, you've got to take a few sips.
Story Time
You start by choosing a Christmas story, like the Nativity Story or the tale of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. The first player tells the first line of the story. Each player afterwards continues it. If you mess up, you've got to get messed up.
Sing-a-Long
Start by picking Christmas carol. The first player sings the first line of the song. Each player continues the song by singing another line. If you forget the lyrics, you've got to have a drink.
Watch a Movie
Pick a Christmas movie to watch. Make a list of words or phrases to drink to, such as Grinch or Christmas. Each time the word or phrase is heard, everyone must drink. If anyone doesn't catch it, they must drink.
One should not drink around children, drive while intoxicated, or give alcohol to minors. These games are meant to be played by adults who have designated drivers or money for a cab. Remember that you don't have to be drinking alcohol for these games to be fun. Eggnog is just as tasty as any seasonal alcoholic beverage! If there are guests over 18, but under 21, they can play while drinking apple cider instead. Have a very merry Christmas!
