Christmas Eve Church Services in Chicago

For many families, attending a church service on Christmas Eve is a very important tradition. For those new to a city, finding a holiday service to take part in can be difficult. Chicago is the home to many wonderful churches that welcome new members. If you are new to the Chicago area, or are looking for a new church to spend your Christmas Eve in, visit one of these inviting churches this holiday season.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held this year at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 24. There is parking on the north side of the church. Remember to pick up a yellow "Lake View Presbyterian" sign at the rear of the sanctuary to display on the dashboard of your car. Please contact the church in advance for further information. The office will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services are offered at two different times this year. Childcare is provided at the 4:00 p.m. worship. Service is also offered at 11:00 p.m., but no childcare will be available at that time. All Advent season services follow the theme "More Than a Partridge in a Pear Tree."'

Services this year will be held at both 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. St. Nicholas Episcopal Church encourages you to bring flowers to decorate the church. Christmas presents for children and cash donations to the church are also welcome.

Christmas Eve Celebration Worship Services begin at 10:00 p.m. in the St. Sabina Sanctuary. Services will also be held on Christmas Day at 10:00 a.m.. Christmas dinner for the homeless will be served at 12:00 p.m. in St. Sabina Academy, Bethune Hall. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the church for more information.
