Christmas in Florida: A Christmas Poem

Florida does not get much snow, but holidays mean days off of school.

Down pillow down and squinted eyes, you might think snow

that holds all the pretty properties of wintry wonderland

without blue hands shaking. And we sit and read Christmas poems

that evoke that feeling of goodwill and love to all.

Roasting chestnuts over an open fire with our A.C turned down low

to recreate Santa's workshop. There are many days off of school,

when Florida does not get much snow during the holidays.
