Is your budget tight for Christmas? Wish you could do more? Here is a great way to have fun giving more and it doesn't cost you anything. This is a great way to give during the bad economy and a fun activity for Christmas time that doesn't cost any money

Every where you go people are always handing out free things and free samples. Do you ever wonder, "What am I going to do with this junk?"
Start a freebie box!

This Christmas will be my family's 4th year doing this activity. It is now one of our favorite traditions.
What is a freebie box? Tell everyone who will be participating in this activity to start collecting freebies, then on Christmas eve or Christmas day combine all the items you have collected and put them in a big box or bag. My family likes to use a big bag that we can reach in and grab something without seeing it. We like to play games where you can steal or trade freebies that you have won. This is a fun activity that doesn't cost anything, but is fun way to give, even if it is junk. This activity i s fun for all ages. Even my niece who is only four loves this tradition and she even collects things to contribute to the freebie box.

Where to get more freebies:
I sign up for all the freebie web sites. The sites will e-mail you new freebies they have found on the web. I suggest if you do this, you set up a junk mail e-mail address. Most freebies require an e-mail address and then you get a lot of junk mail. On most freebies sites you have to fill out a form for your address. My computer has a link called AutoFill where you just click on it and it automatically fills in your information, makes getting online freebies easier and faster. Here are my favorite freebie web sites.
http://www.feedblitz.com/
http://www.heyitsfree.net/
http://www.cereal.com/
http://www.walmart.com/ click on the link, In stores now, then on the free sample link. They have an easy form to fill out and great freebies.
You can even find fun freebies by going to a search engine like Google and type in free sample, freebies, free lotion, free book, or things like free pen.

On all food freebies make sure you check the expiration date to make sure it won't expire before Christmas.

You can get freebies at stores where they do buy one get one free deals. The store Aerie by American Eagle has a freebie club one Thursday a month when they give away freebies. R. C. Willey (furniture) has occasional freebie deals they give away. On the day after Thanksgiving many stores give away freebies if you're among the first customers in the store. My dad gets the most freebies for the box every year. His work has an engineer's conference and he is able to collect bags of freebies like pens, stress reliever balls, and other novel freebies from vendors. Other places to get freebies are at state and county fairs. Most vendor booths give away some sort of freebie with their logo and information on it. Many products like cereal, Pop Tarts and Kool Aid have freebies if you collect UPC labels. Collecting the freebies and going on the hunt for freebies can be as much fun as the big day when you get to open up the freebie box!
Always be careful what you sign up for on the web. Always read the fine print. Never give out your credit card information.
