Christmas Gift Ideas for the Writers: Handy Gadgets, Software and More

Pasiley
If you are wondering what to give the writer on your Christmas list this year, I have a few suggestions that would be perfect. It does not matter from the stand of this gift list if the writer is a freelance writer, a college student, or anyone who types a lot to for a living.

Many years ago before the invasion of the desktop computer into just about every home in the United States, many writers would type up articles and manuscripts by hand, and this man says they needed tons of paper and most likely they'll suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome. Writers of today use their computers to type out their articles and manuscripts, which makes it a lot easier. There are software and other things on the market today that would make the Raiders life he a lot easier and therefore this article is going to center on software titles and other sayings that would make the writer on your Christmas gift lists have an easier time performing their work.

Three must have software titles for anyone with a writing career, include a word processor, a spreadsheet program, and voice recognition software. These may not be must haves for many people got to me they are what I require.

A word processor is a must-have for anyone who writes for a living. A word processor is a basic piece of software that allows the writers to write anything from articles, essays to manuscripts and everything else that a writer must write. There are a lot of different brands of word processing software out there so it's important to get one that fits in your budget as well and is that will be useful to the writer. You want to look for a word processor that can save in many different formats, has a spell checker, grammar checker and a word count feature. You can save a tremendous amount of money by going over to eBay and buying one from a reseller.

It is always a good idea for a writer to use a spreadsheet program that allows the writers to keep track of how much they were paid per article or manuscript. I am a freelance writer, who pays close attention to the page views of my articles, and I keep track of this within excel is a spreadsheet program part of the office suite by Microsoft. This way I can see what type of articles pay more, and are more popular with the readers who choose to read my articles.

I asked I use a program called Dragon Naturally Speaking software, which is a voice recognition software that allows me to talk now my articles rather than type them. I do so much writing on the net that my hands were suffering horribly, so my boyfriend bought this for me. It is a godsend, my hands feel better, and since I talked faster than I type, I am putting now more writings per day than I was in the past.

I also have cruiser, which has a portable 1 MB storage capability, so if I am doing research are transported in articles I can just put them right on here. Cruiser is a UBS storage that fits right in any UBS poured so that I can take my articles anywhere and upload them to the Internet. This is also great if you want to transport the music from one computer to another. Crews are also has a letter to you reading Stark on and so you can attach era to your key ring much is extremely handy this can leave purchased a Wal-Mart for less than $20. There is different storage capabilities within cruiser you have to pay more for them by for the most part 1 MB is enough storage space for what I need it to be.

You can also pay for a month of Internet service for the writer in your life by giving them to a certificate to their Internet service provider. This comes in handy sure.
