It's that time of year again. Yep! You guessed it, the holidays are just around the corner. If you weren't one of the frugal few who has been socking away hard-earned dollars since last Christmas, you may be finding yourself in a crunch right about now. You really don't have to break the bank in order to give your kids some great toys that are likely to end up being their favorites. You just need to know where to look. Here are some great toys to give and they are all under $10.

1) Mr. Potato Head

What's old is new again. Mr. Potato Head has been around since the late 1940's and though his popularity has come and gone and come again, it soared with roles in the much loved Toy Story movies. Who doesn't love to see all the different possibilities that Mr. Potato Head has to offer? With a plastic potato and many removable parts (eyes, ears, arms, glasses, etc.) the combinations are endless.

2) Play-Doh Fun Bucket

This maleable modeling compound is popular with kids of all ages. The bucket includes more than 20 different accessories and five colors that will surely inspire hours of modeling fun. The Play-Doh does not stain hands or work surfaces and the whole kit can be stored in the bucket for ease of clean-up and storage.

3) Rubik's Cube

The original 3x3x3 standard cube has nine square faces on each side. When solved, each side of the puzzle is one solid color. Having personally spent unlimited hours trying to unravel the puzzle held in the confines of this small cube, I know this gift is a sure-fire winner.

4) Memory Game - The Backyardigans

This fun card-matching game has been updated with favorite preschool characters from the Backyardigans TV show. Whoever finds the most matching pairs wins! How is your memory?

5) Yahtzee

This fast-paced dice game is well-loved by many generations having been around since 1956. The unique blend of luck and strategy makes the game challenging every single time. The game comes with everything you need for unlimited Yahtzee fun including 5 dice, a plastic dice cup, scorecards, 10 plastic bonus chips and rules. Yahtzee!

6) Bratz Babyz Meygan

Certainly a favorite among little girls, the Brazt Babyz are the newest in the Bratz line of dolls. These toddlers are fashion forward and come with one outfit, chain with bottle, flocked Petz, diaper bag and blanket. Mix and match clothes and accessories let you create tons of different looks and outfits.

7) LEGO Bionicle Visorak Roporak

These LEGO toys are truly the answer to what your little builder's want. The Rhotuka spinner launches up to 50 feet and the jaws snap shut. Visorak Roporak includes building instructions to combine with #8746 Keelerak to make Chute Lurker. Build away!

This should help flex those thinking muscles and give you some great starting points for your holiday shopping. Your children will thank you.
