Christmas Gifts for Recreational Vehicle (RV) Lovers

DeeDee
Now that so many people are retiring, buying recreational vehicles (RV's) and hitting the road for vacations, RV's are more popular than ever. RV's are great for young families to take their children on inexpensive vacations and great for older folks who want to be on the road for weeks at a time with little attachment. With the rise of RV popularity comes the need for Christmas gifts for RV lovers. Here are a few suggestions on what to get that RV lover in your life or maybe what to ask for if you are the RV lover!

A GPS
A global positioning system (GPS) is the perfect Christmas gift for those with RV's who like to be on the road for weeks at a time. Maybe your loved one is traveling across country or is just really bad with directions. Get them a GPS that will help them get where they are going, make restaurant suggestions, and tell them where the next national landmark is.

Binoculars with a built in camera
If your RV lover is going to take scenic vacations, particularly involving nature, buy them binoculars with a built in digital camera. That way they can see cute little animals or things way off in the horizon without disrupting them, and still great up close great digital photographs.

Games
Ok, I know it sounds a bit simplistic, but board games, cards, and social games, are a great way to entertain the family while in between destinations or while relaxing at a camp ground.

CD's
Music is must while on the road. Get them their favorite style of music so they can sing all the way to their destination.

RV themed items
Hallmark offers an Old Silver Bullet RV with a pop-out awning for the RV fan in your life to hang on their Christmas tree. And Current Catalog has a fuzzy fleece blanket with a Christmas setting in the background to take on their RV with them. You can even get matching wrapping paper!

A vacation
Contact the place where your family or friend with an RV takes their vacation, or their favorite resort or campground. Buy a gift card to that location for a Christmas present and treat them to a nice get away. That's one of the nicest presents you can give!

An emergency kit
Buy an emergency kit at the store or put one together yourself - it just may be cheaper that way. Be sure to include: a fire extinguisher, a large flashlight, candles, matches, flares, a large "Help" sign, jumper cables, basic tools, gauze, bandages in various sizes, a blanket, a small pillow, scissors, tweezers, gloves, rope, and duct tape.

Merry Christmas!
