Christmas Gifts for Your Spouse

We all know how hard it is to shop for that special someone- what do you do when you've run out of gift ideas for your spouse? Gift-giving at Christmas, especially for someone that's very close to us, can be difficult at best- and stressful to boot! There are lots of expensive ideas out there, and then there are cheap- or even free- gift ideas out there! What you choose to give your partner is going to be based on personal preferences- both theirs and yours.

• A wonderfully romantic gift idea for your spouse is a list of things you love about him or her, written on special paper, and then framed. This shows him/her how much you care, and exactly what it is that attracts you to them! This is an inexpensive idea. All you need is a nice piece of paper and a frame.

• Booking a weekend get-away to a spa or bed and breakfast for the two of you is a wonderful gift idea- especially if you don't get enough time together, or enough time to take a "vacation." A weekend "mini-vacation" could be just what the doctor ordered for you both- and you'll be making memories that will last for years to come.

• A home-made "coupon book" is a wonderful stocking stuffer, and can be a lot of fun. You can make this as practical or "sexy" as you want. Giving your spouse a gift of coupons is another good way to promote "quality" time with one another. These coupons can be for back-rubs, hugs, snuggles, a night on the town, etc.

• You can name a start after your spouse- who wouldn't want to give their Honey the "moon and stars?" Now you can, by naming a start after him/her. This is a very romantic gift, and usually costs about $50.

• If you're creative with writing, a love poem written by you, can make a great Christmas gift for your spouse. Tailor it to express your love for them, what you love about them, your hopes for the future with them, etc.

• Buy a sexy piece of lingerie or pajamas (for men or women!) and wrap it in a box for your spouse, along with a note promising to "model" it! This is sexy and romantic, and might even make you and your spouse blush!

• Buy a special photo frame, and put a photo of either yourself or the two of you in it. This is an especially great gift if your spouse works in his/her own office or travels a lot. Smaller photo frames can be fit into suitcases, or displayed on a desk. What better way to remind your spouse how much you love him/her?

• Bake your spouse's favorite cookies or cake, or cook his/her favorite home-cooked meal. Nothing says "I Love You and want to take care of you" like a special treat or a meal that you know they love. If you aren't good with cooking, take him/her out to their favorite restaurant as a surprise.

• A mixed cd of love songs that you've made or bought is a great stocking stuffer as well. If you like, you can either get his/her favorite artists or you can make a cd with nothing but "your" songs.

• The best gift you can give your spouse for Christmas is love and affection, and spend quality time with him or her. To really make sure he/she knows how much you care, make them a priority and spend time with them.
