Little girls love to play dress up. Dress up is not the way it used to be when we were children, there are so many more options. We used to put on our mother's make up and clothes, and walk around in her high heels. There are so many different things to choose from. You can buy dress up shoes, purses, clothing and outfits. There is also play jewelry, and many different accessories like make believe cell phones. Any little girl would love to open a gift of a variety of dress up things.
Toddlers also love to play with baby dolls. Especially if there is another little one around in the home, they want to be just like other mommies. Dolls come in all shapes and sizes, and all have different features depending on how much you want to pay for them. You can buy several accessories for all of the dolls as well. They have different clothing, diapers, bottles, and even big toys like swings, cribs, and bassinets. Your options are limitless when you are shopping for dolls for the holidays.
Learning and education toys are a great option if you know the child well. If you know what level they are on, or if you know they are struggling with something, education toys may be your best option. In this category, you also have many options to choose from. There are several toys that can plug into the TV and learn and have fun in the process. Leapfrog and Vtech are great brands that offer several educational toys for all levels.
If you are not into buying toys for children, or the child you are buying for has everything, you may want to buy clothing. Girls are great for buying clothing because they can never have enough. And, at this age, they grow out of clothes so quickly. Find out what colors they like, or even what characters they like to watch on TV or in the movies. Clothing is also something that you can find really good bargains on so you will not be spending a lot of money.
If all else fails and you cannot think of any other options, buy a small toy so they have something to open, and attach a gift card or certificate to it. This way, they will still get a kick out of opening something, as well as they will be able to go to the store and pick out something that they really want. They will get a big kick out of picking something out for themselves. Using these suggestions on what to buy for a toddler, you will be sure to put a smile on some little girl's face.
