A Christmas memory
Peace in the valley
A meadow and snow
That magic eve
For graceful dawn
Heart aglow
Wood and stone
Grandpa
Grandma
Older ways
The scent
Of season and bliss
Without the mall
Bygone days
Homemade
Peace in the valley
A meadow and snow
That magic eve
For graceful dawn
Heart aglow
Wood and stone
Grandpa
Grandma
Older ways
The scent
Of season and bliss
Without the mall
Bygone days
Homemade

Post a CommentBeautiful as the memory of Christmas and childhood...
Thanks for the comment on my breakfast article. I know it's weird to read Christmas poems in May, but I love Christmas. :) This was a great poem. I hate how consumerism has taken over the holiday. "Homemade" is a great word. We used to make so many Christmas crafts as a family. This makes me feel nostalgic.
Great work.
Brought many sweet memories to me.

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing. :)
You certainly have a way with words. :-)
As I read your words, my own memories of decorated cedar trees, kerosene lamps, a roaring fireplace, and ancient hands surfaced. Thank you for this.
