Christmas Light Displays in Pocahontas, Arkansas 2009
Christmas on the Square and the annual holiday parade will be held on December 7, 2009. The lighting of the Christmas tree will be held from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. "Mrs. Santa's Kitchen" baked goods will be on sale at the Randolph County Heritage Museum. The twenty fifth annual Candy Cane Lane will be held from December 17-24, 2009. Candy canes, decorations, and lights will be displayed on Maple Street. Candy Cane Lane is a very special event to most young people who grew up in the Pocahontas, Arkansas area. When I was a child, my parents never missed taking me to see the lights. It felt magical to me when I was a little girl. Now my husband and I take our Kindergartener and Preschooler to the celebration each year. Their eyes show the same wonder I am sure mine did many years ago.
