Wonderland Express pulls into the Chicago Botanic Garden, on Saturday, December 2, bringing holiday magic to all. Outside, 750,000 white lights twinkle welcoming you and your family to the Garden's Wonderland. Inside the new Regenstein Center, a 10,000-square-foot exhibit of miniature trains winds over bridges, under trestles, past waterfalls and through dozens of Chicago's favorite landmarks, including a models of Navy Pier, Millenmium Park and Wrigley Field. Designer of the Model Railroad Garden, Paul Busse created this amazing exhibit exclusively for the Garden's holiday celebration. Admission: Adults $10.00 Children 2-12 $8.00. Member Admission: Adult $8:00, Children $6.00.

The Lake County Fairgrounds will be a Winter Wonderland at their Holiday Light Show, with over a mile of festive lights. the light show will delight the whole family. the Holiday Light Show will be displayed every day of the week. One the weekends, the Winter Wonderland is also open. Santa will be there so the children can give him their wish list. there will also be activities for the children including the merry-go-round and games.
Monday - Thursday (Light Show Only) $5.00 per car
Friday - Sunday (Light Show and Winter Wonderland) $10.00 per car.

Pine boughs and red bows will adorn the old cider mill and the restored Victorian homes and barns that house over 80 shops, galleries, and boutiques brimming with unique gifts, crafts, collectibles, home and decorative accessories, art, clothing, specialty foods, and antiques. .The weekend festivities include: visits from Santa, entertainment, music, carolers, reindeer and carriage rides. Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Thursday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission: Free.

Located in Vernon Hills, a northwest suburb of Chicago, the Cuneo Museum is a historic Mediterranean style mansion, which offers tours and special events. During the Christmas holiday season, Cuneo Museum will present their Winter Wonderland show on their grounds. The Cuneo Museum grounds will be illuminated with fanciful and traditional characters from children's stories such as lighted figures of animals, and elves.. The drive through show opens daily at 6:00 PM and closes at 10:00 PM. Admission on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is $10 per car. Admission on Monday through Thursday is $5.00 per car. a portion of the proceeds from the admissions benefits Lambs Farm in Libertyville, Illinois.

HOLLY TROLLEY: Trolley ride down Sheridan Road to see the holiday lights, then a trip through the drive thru.
As dusk settles into evening, get the family in the car and take a drive around Lake County to view the Christmas Holiday lights. Taking a drive with the family is a great time to spend together and see beautiful sights.
