Up and down the highways and byways
In big cities and smallest of towns
Christmas lights are shining brightly
Many playing carols and making joyful sounds!

Inside and outside the homes
Christmas trees are all aglow
The stars are lighting up the skies
Like paintings by Van Gogh!
The lights of Christmas are ablaze
Angels danced and twirled
Announcing that today is the birth
Of Jesus Christ the Light of the World!
