Do you see the ribbons of snow
forever falling,
balling from the sky?
forever falling,
balling from the sky?
Did the ancient memory
rise and light your face, then fade
among the evergreen trees? Did you hear
the gold peal of the Christmas bell,
remembering the white peace that flows
in the glow of a fresh nativity? Did you
lose yourself, wrapped in tinsel
or the bright bow of sheets? Do you hear
the angels whisper to for now
forget the favored green?

Post a CommentA lovely poem! :)
Beautiful Khara. I felt that tingly joy that comes on Christmas morning in every line.
Lovely. I did lose myself in your words. I particularly enjoyed the use of enjambment. Good job!
Very cool!
