Mark your calendars for these Christmas parades in Atlanta and the surrounding area. Although the Christmas parade in Atlanta is the largest Christmas parade in the southeast, there are several smaller Christmas parades in the Atlanta suburbs guaranteed to be just as much fun.
Christmas Parades in Atlanta - The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade in Atlanta
The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade in Atlanta is scheduled for Saturday December 5th from 10:30 to noon. This parade will be televised in the Atlanta tv viewing area on WSB-TV Channel 2, an ABC affiliate. Spectators will enjoy watching the many elaborate floats, marching bands, dance groups, celebrities, huge helium balloons and, of course, Santa Claus with his reindeer. The parade route starts at Peachtree Street and Baker Street in downtown Atlanta and ends at Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
Christmas Parades in Atlanta - The Athens-Clarke County Parade of Lights in Athens
The Athens-Clarke County Parade of Lights will be held on December 3rd beginning at 7:00 pm. This year's parade, which will include over sixty floats, starts on the corner of Dougherty Street and Pulaski Street and ends in front of City Hall. Following the parade there will be a tree lighting ceremony with Santa Claus.
Christmas Parades in Atlanta - The Lilburn Christmas Parade in Lilburn
The Lilburn Christmas Parade is planned for Saturday December 5th starting at 10:00 am. The parade will begin at the intersection of Main Street and Church Street and will end at Lilburn City Hall. After the parade Santa and his elves will be greeting spectators, along with other activities including face painting, Christmas caroling, a magic show and more.
Christmas Parades in Atlanta - The Cumming Christmas Parade and Festival in Cumming
The Cumming Christmas Parade and Festival is scheduled for Saturday December 5th starting at 3:30. The parade starts on Market Place Boulevard, near Cumming Marketplace Shopping Center and ends at the intersection of Highway 20. After the parade there will be a tree lighting ceremony and other festivities.
Christmas Parades in Atlanta - The Christmas Parade of Lights in Woodstock
The Christmas Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday December 5th beginning at 5:30. The parade begins at the intersection of Main Street and Highway 92 and ends at Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Road. Following the parade, there will be a tree lighting ceremony including Santa Claus and musical performances.
