2010 Lighting of Atlantic Station - Atlanta
The renovation of Atlantic Station has made it a favorite gathering place in Atlanta and one of the first places to enjoy the festivities of the 2010 holiday season. Thousands of lights will light up an 8 block area in Midtown Atlanta.
Enjoy festivities throughout the day including crafts for the kids, a Holiday fashion show, festive music, and even a visit from Santa. Santa himself will flip the switch and there is going to be a realistic 'snowfall' forecast to coincide with the Lighting of Atlantic Station.
Hang around after the Lighting of Atlantic Station for a free screening of a classic holiday film.

2010 Great Tree Lighting at Macy's
It's a 63 year tradition in Atlanta, the lighting of the Great Tree. Passed from Rich's to Macy's when federated merged the two popular retail shops, Macy's carries on the tradition including a stunning pre-lighting show and festivities.
The lighting of the Great Tree always takes place Thanksgiving night and draws thousands of participants and on-lookers who enjoy singers, celebrities, choirs, and more. Start a new holiday tradition and join the festive holiday spirit by attending the 2010 Great Tree Lighting ceremony.

Atlanta's Most Anticipated Christmas Parade - 2010 Children's Christmas Parade
Each year thousands of spectators line the streets of Atlanta at Peachtree Street for the annual Children's Christmas Parade. This year marks the 30th year of the Children's Christmas Parade that will help kick off the holiday season in Atlanta. The parade includes beautiful floats, giant helium balloons, and St. Nick.
The Atlanta 2010 Children's Christmas Parade will be held Dec. 4, 2010, from 10:30 am to noon. The parade will begin at Peachtree Street near Baker and follow Peachtree to a right turn on Marietta Street. The parade route ends at Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

Atlanta 2010 Holiday in Lights at Centennial Olympic Park
Centennial Olympic park is host to Atlanta's Holiday in Lights. Entering it's 13th year, Holiday in Lights is part of the winter transformation of Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. The 2010 Holiday in Lights begins Nov. 19, 2010 through Jan. 3, 2011 and transforms the park into thousands of twinkling lights for you and your family to enjoy.
In the park you will find an outdoor ice skating rink on the Great Lawn.

Time: Park is open from 7am to 11pm, including Christmas Day.
Location: Centennial Olympic Park
Cost: Holiday in Lights is free. There is an extra charge for ice skating.

Macy's Pink Pig - Atlanta, 2010
Riding Priscilla the Pink Pig, a pink piggy converted train, has been a pat of holiday excitement for children in Atlanta since 1953. The Pink Pig was run annually by Rich's Atlanta, but the tradition has seamlessly passed to Macy's at Lenox Mall. Take your children on a ride through a super-sized storybook starring Atlanta's legendary Priscilla, the Pink Pig.
