Christmas Poem: The Reason of Christmas

It's been said before

Let's not forget the reason

It's not about gifts, although those are nice

but it's about the birth of Christ

and His sacrifice

It's about why He was born and His love for all

to teach us His ways

so we do not fall

It's about family and home, being with those you love

praying for peace

that comes from above

It's giving to those who have less than you

sharing what you can

in all that you do

It's about remembering those who can't be home

praying that soon

they will safely return

So let's not forget, as we hustle around

take a moment to remember

what Christmas is about

May your hearts be filled with the spirit of the season
