dessy321
Shopping for Christmas present bargains for teenage boys can be challenging, as they want to keep up with the current styles and trends, not only that of the teens they hang out with, but to impress the teenage girls. I did a poll, with the seven teenagers who live in my neighborhood, their ages ranged from 13 to 17, and got their opinion on what they would like, and did some price comparison shopping for the budgeting parents. The items, that they said would be cool to get for Christmas are as follows: Skateboards, Ipods, basketballs and gear, necklace and bracelet, watch, high tops, cargo pants, graphic tees, and video games. Now we all must keep in mind, fashion trends can vary, depending on where you live. But the ideas are all same.

Gift Cards:

If your teen drives, consider of gas card. If they love games and music, a E-tune card, or a Game Stop video gift card. Another gift they may enjoy is, concert tickets to see their favorite band.( Many radio stations have contests that you can win these concert tickets)

Skateboards:

The skateboards come in various styles, such as the caster-board/flow board, long boards, and balance boards. The style the older teens preferred, was the sidewalk surf board. In pricing these, I found that at Overstock.com, they run as low as $57.99 for the sidewalk caster surf board, and as low as $35.99 for the old school style. At Sports Authority, the same style caster surf board starts at $79.99. At Walmart, you can purchase an old school style for $18, and the caster-board for $69.00 .

Graphic Tees:

Graphic tees is another cool gift they said they would be glad to receive. All the graphic tees at JcPenny, Kohl's, and Old Navy are priced about the same at $14.99 and some higher.

Jewelry:

When it comes to the teenage boy style jewelry, they showed me what they were wearing, so I could get an idea of the styles they would like. If you can shop on line, there are a few places to find the kinds of jewelry teenage boys like at a good price.

a. www.shopnbc.com: Stainless Steel/Rubbs Invicta mens element Rugged Bracelet $24.99. It is very sleek and stylish for a teen boy.

e. www.buy.com: Gucci style stainless steel link bracelet for $19.99. Very nice looking, and stylish.

Watches:

Pricing the Invicta watches from Jcpenny, Kohl's and Overstock. I found that the lowest price was found at overstock for $22.49. This is an, Activa by Invicta mens black or bronze dial watch. Buy.com offers several styles for teens starting at $16.99.

High Tops:

They all agreed, that high top tennis shoes is a must for their looks. on www.couponmountain.com, you can find on line coupons for Foot Locker, that will save you, $15 off $90. Dunham's Sporting Goods has an on line coupon for 15% off entire order, or $15 off $75. JcPenny has a coupon now for 30 % off regular price, using the code, JCVIP at checkout.

Accessories:

An wallet would be also be a nice gift. The teenage boys seemed to favor the wallet with the chain. If you agree with this wallet, Overstock.com has them for $16.99 leather with an American Eagle or an Iron cross. Jcpenny as well as Kohls has nice wallets for teens starting at $ 11.99.

Clothes:

The teen boys all agreed on the cargo pants, as well as jeans. Cargo pant prices vary, as Jcpenny has them starting at $24.99, Kohls, has the Levi cargo for $31.99, and Old Navy is $25.00. The hoodies, start at $29 at Old navy, and the Kohl's price is $17. For the polo shirts you can not beat Old navy's price starting at $5.99 for short sleeve, and for long sleeve $15.99. Also the Track Pants were mentioned, Jcpenny has them starting at $14.99.

Electronic Items:

For the IPod and MP3 players, Jcpenny has an 2GB MP3 player marked down from $99.00 to $39.99. BestBuy has the Apple Shuffle 1GB for $49.99, and the Sony Walkman style for $49.00. Walmart has a Ematic 2GB MP3 player for $ 29.99.

Other Sports:

For your hockey player son, maybe a new hockey stick. At Sports Authority you can pick up an Sherwood feather lite wood stick for $36.99. At Dicks SportingGoods you can get an Easton Intermediate hockey stick for $24.99. All sticks range in price from the low prices here, on up to $200, depending on if they are wood, or composite. If your teen is trying out the sport or just for fun, a cheaper stick may be the option, in case they do not care to play again. For the baseball player, maybe a new glove. Dicks Sporting Goods has 4 different gloves under $25, and Sports Authority has 25 different gloves, for $25 and under.

For saving more money, if you can shop on line, use the coupons codes, this will help in putting money back into your pocket. Kmart is offering an $25 restaurant.com gift card with any $50 in clothing purchase. Buy.com is offering $5 off $25, $10 off $50, $20 off $100. These coupons are good through 11/30/08, but new codes are generated after others expire. If you do not mind re-certified electronics, then for a more expensive IPod or MP3 player for $15 is a bargain. Shop closer to Christmas, as the prices go down with online shopping, for bigger ticket items. Often you will see an on line only price, and the coupon codes do work with these as well. After I did some searching on jewelry and skateboards, I printed out the pictures, then I asked the teenage boys again what they thought, and they liked them. There you go folks, teenage boy opinions, for the gifts they would like to receive.
