A Guide to Fun Christmas Activities Using the Scriptures

Jade Harris

Christmas scripture games can be a fun way to remember the scriptures and Christmas at Christmastime. Have fun playing these games with varying levels of difficulty.

Christmas Scripture Search Game

Very Difficult: Give scriptures to players and let them go to work identifying verses in the scriptures, without the use of any reference guides or indexes, that contain items that could be Christmas tree ornaments. Perfect for a group who wants a scripture challenge.

Difficult: Give scriptures to players and allow players the use of additional study guides, such as the Index, Topical Guide, Bible Dictionary or other Bible reference guide or lookup, to find Christmas tree ornament items listed in scripture verses.

Moderate: Give a prepared list of scripture passages and have players read those scriptures and identify the specific Christmas tree ornament items referenced in the scripture verses.

Easy: Read selected scriptures to the group and then as a group identify the Christmas tree ornament items.

Very Easy: Read selected scriptures to players and after reading each scripture verse, tell the players the specific item. Players then draw the item on their Christmas tree drawings. Great option for a scripture activity for younger children who do not read yet.

Christmas Scripture Art Game

With any chosen level of difficulty being played, have players draw out their Christmas tree ornaments instead of or in addition to writing down the reference and item name. At the end, you will have decorated Christmas tree pictures to display.
