Agricenter International in Memphis/Shelby County, TN is a 1000-acre farm and research center with an Expo Center, a Farmer's Market (Red Barn), Catch 'em Pond, Show Place Arena, and stables. It has plenty of RV Parking as well as regular parking space on site. The Butcher Shop restaurant is adjacent to the Showplace Arena. The main buildings are located on a corner where Walnut Grove Road passes over Germantown Parkway (one of the busiest roads in the Mid-south). Holiday Market Festival of Gifts
On November 16-18, the Holiday Market Festival of Gifts will take place. The Holiday Market Festival of Gifts provides shopping for the Holidays as well as fun for the kids. There will be a Santa's Village, face painting, clowns, food, activities, and a visit with Santa Claus. Christmas Tree Lane will have lights and decorated trees. The planners donate the trees to charitable causes on the final day .
Le Bonheur Club's Christmas Cottage
On November 23-25, Le Bonheur Club's Christmas Cottage will take place. Along with the exhibiters, there are also plans for milk and cookies with Santa. Le Bonheur is a Memphis children's hospital. The Le Bonheur Club members do volunteer work and fundraisers to benefit the children's hospital. The Le Bonheur Club web site has a list of exhibiting vendors.
Subsidium, Inc. Carousel of Shoppes
On November 29-December 1, Subsidium, Inc. will have their Carousel of Shoppes to benefit The Memphis Oral School for the Deaf. A look at the scheduled events gives the feeling that this will be for a more sophisticated crowd (no Santa on the schedule).
Following the regular shopping hours on the first day, Thursday, November 29, there will be a Carousel Gala from 6:30pm until 11:00pm. Randy Moore & the Fabulous Suedes will play music for the gala. Area restaurants will be present to provide food while everyone enjoys the music. There will be regular shopping, a silent auction, as well as a live auction that will feature trips, jewelry, and specialty items.
During the regular shopping hours at various scheduled times and days, shoppers will be able to enjoy Chef Robert Hayes' Frappiccino punch, a performance by the children of the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, wine punch and cookies provided by Subsidium, and Chef Robert Hayes' Chocolate Fountain.
