#1: Kid Country Toys Kid Country Toys is located in the Charleston Town Center Mall in downtown Charleston, WV. This isn't your typical toy store, instead, you'll find thousands of toys that will suit any age range you're shopping for this season. I've taken my nephew and little cousins in the store, and they could have stayed there for hours! They have giant stuffed animals, a huge selection of wooden toys, and several game sets.
You can find them on the first level of the mall, and can contact them at (304) 345-5302. They are open from Monday-Saturday from 10am-9pm, and Sunday from 12:30pm-6pm. However, check the Charleston Town Center Holiday hours for different hours throughout the holiday season.
#2: Cornucopia Cornucopia is easily my favorite unique gift shop to find gifts for my family and friends, because it has the following items (and so much more): WVU and Marshall gear (including Christmas ornaments, etc.), jewelry, shoes, clothing, cards, stationary, hundreds of ornaments, collectibles, holiday dish sets, journals, etc. I have literally spent hours in Cornucopia, just looking through all their items and finding something new each time.
Cornucopia is located at 912 Bridge Road in Charleston, WV. You can contact them at (304) 342-7148. They are open Monday-Friday from 10-6, Saturday from 10-5:30, and Sunday from 12:30-5.
#3: Charleston Department Store The Charleston Department Store is a local favorite, as it has been open on Charleston's West Side since 1921. Charleston Department Store has sections for all sizes, and includes clothing brands such as Levi's, Columbia and Calvin Klein, among several others. The selection changes often, and sales are ongoing throughout the season. Accessories also include Brighton, Fossil, plus other purse and jewelry options. The main store location is located at 1661 Washington Street W, Charleston
The highlight for many at the Charleston Department Store is the WVU Shop. You can purchase West Virginia University tailgating gear along with t-shirts, sweatshirts, WVU-themed dishes, WVU snowmen, WVU car accessories, and hundreds of other items. There is also a WVU-specific store called The University Shop at 42 RHL Boulevard in Charleston, WV.
Charleston, West Virginia offers many wonderful shopping opportunities where you can find unique gifts for those on your shopping list this Christmas. Have fun in this beautiful city, and get your Christmas shopping done at the same time!
