Transformers
My six year old loves transformers. So of course, after seeing the movie, he had to have some! We bought a few from Wal-mart, although they are found everywhere. You can buy the actual characters from the movie, or you can get ones such as a camera or a phone that transforms. We have about 7 of all different kinds now. The smaller ones are pretty easy to maneuver. The bigger robots are a little harder. The range of motion on the toys are very good, though, as its easy to move the arms and legs around to where you want them. They may be harder for a younger child to do, as my 6 year old gets a bit frustrated with them sometimes. But overall they are a fun toy to play with, very colorful and interesting, and once your child figures out how to Transform it, they'll have hours of fun playing!
Moon Sand
Moon Sand was a purchase I made about 6 months ago for my 6 year old son's birthday. The commercials I saw for it looked like fun, and my son and daughter both love to play in the sand. The kit comes with a fold out mat, with raised sides, to play with the sand in. It comes with three or four colors to start with, and you can choose more colors to purchase separately. the best part of moon sand is that it feels like regular sand, but sticks and forms together alot better. It is much easier to build with and does not require any water to stick together. My only complaint is that Moon Sand can be a bit messy, especially when you have a rambunctious two year old playing in it! I would recommend putting down an old blanket, sheet, or the like underneath the play area where you'll be putting out the Moon sand. Still, it does vacuum up easy if bits get into the carpet. All in all, Moon Sand is a fun and easy toy that my children enjoyed immensely.
Dusty the Talking Vacuum Cleaner
Dusty the Talking Vacuum is a big hit with my daughter. She loves to pretend that she is doing what Mommy is doing so getting her a vacuum of her own seemed like the right thing to do! Dusty and his attachment come to life, talking and carrying on when you push this toy around. The colorful yarn inside can be seen whirling about like a real vacuum cleaner would do. I like it because it is made of a soft plastic, has no sharp edges or parts, and has proven to be durable and strong. It comes with a drop down attachment for those hard to reach places, so you're little one can really feel like they're helping out! this vacuum is colorful, with easy to roll wheels, and rolling eyes, and makes a great daytime activity. I love it and so does my daughter.
Leap Frog Musical Number Bus
My daughter received the Leap frog learning musical number bus when she turned two years old. It is rated for two and up, although I believe that most two year olds won't really learn from it. It is a cute toy, a bus with the numbers one thru ten on the side, three characters in the bus, and different gamers to play. My daughter loved pressing the buttons and listening to the music, or pressing the people in the bus to hear their music, too. As a learning toy, it is more suited for a 4 to 6 year old, because I feel it is a little too advanced for a 2 year old. still, she had a grand old time playing with it and making music. A great toy to learn music, counting, adding and subtracting, and more with. I have alot of fun pressing buttons with her, and I am glad she received the Leap frog bus as a gift.
