My boys really like to have their selection of "cool" t-shirts. It's kind of like a status symbol with their peers. Every year, for a Christmas stocking stuffer, I like to give my kids a thank-you card with a certificate in it, giving them one day off from their chores. It can be redeemed on a day of their choice. The thank-you is from me letting them know how grateful I am to have them in my life, and the day off chores, shows my appreciation to them. I feel this is particularly important for a tween because they are at such a difficult time in their growing up years.

Gift Certificate

Tweens usually have no trouble letting you know which new game they would like for their gaming system, but if you not for sure, you can always go to Walmart, Circuit City or Radio Shack and find out the cost of the newer games; then get them a gift certificate for that amount. That way they can buy the exact one that they want.
