For some of us, Christmas just wouldn't be the same without the stockings. If you're looking to cut back this Christmas, don't scratch the kid's stockings. Instead fill them with stocking stuffer ideas that won't blow your budget. Easily stuff your kid's stocking for a couple of bucks, using free, printable, homemade stuffers and inexpensive goodies from your local store.

Christmas Stocking Stuffer Goodies for Kids

Young kids will be pleased with just about anything, especially if it results in them getting their fingers dirty. Inexpensive ideas include stickers, temporary tattoos, candy, socks, gloves, hair clips, scissors, a hole puncher, craft sticks, twine for making jewelry, beads, colored pencils, soft pencils, water color paints, markers, underwear, a sketch pad, glue and glitter.

For Teens

For teens, ideas include music credits, $5 coffee gift card, deodorant, body spray, lip gloss, lotion and scented soaps.

For Dad

Inexpensive ideas for dad include shoe Shine Sponges, deodorant, razors, spot stain removers, nail clippers, toothbrush, socks and undershirts.

For Mom

Inexpensive ideas for mom include new wooden spoons or cooking utensils (only if needed), body spray, soap, bubble bath, travel size goodies, seeds for a favorite flower, chocolate, unsigned Christmas cards to use next year, envelopes and stamps.

Many food products still offer free prizes in exchange for a handful of proof of purchase labels. If your kids still eat sweet cereals, start collecting the labels now. Send them in at least 4 weeks in advance to ensure you get your free stocking stuffers in time.

Find printable online coupons for a free coffee at Borders or Barnes & Noble. For mom, cut out or print out awesome grocery store coupons that you know she'll use. If dad has his eye on a razor, look for coupons.

    You guys are the best. I love those ideas. You gave me some good suggestions for my kids. These ideas are really going to help this year.
    I have the best husband! Since I’m 5 feet and a half inch I struggle with having to reach.
    I developed shoulder pain from pulling down the back door of my Caravan minivan.
    My husband found a product that really helped. The wrapper said mom’s little helper handle. It’s a strap that hangs from the handle of the back door.
    It’s much easier to close the van door. What a God sent! You can’t believe how much it helped with shopping! I hope this helps!
