Christmas Symbolism - Jesus Christ's Real Birthday
How Did Christmas on December 25th Become the Day to Celebrate the Birth of Christ?
". . . magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east, and have come to worship Him." (Matt. 2:1-1) Holy Bible
Astrologers have long debated the subject of Jesus Christ's birth date. As it is, the celebration of Christmas coincides with the winter solstice.
Theories behind the debates often imply that Jesus Christ was born under the sign of Aries. Aries, being the first sign of the zodiac, correlates symbolically with the new beginning and the birth of the Messiah.
Aries is also on the vernal equinox when a barren winter turns into springtime. It's a time of new beginnings and regeneration. Further substantiation for the Aries argument refers to the fiery temperament and idealism of the Ram, as this is the animal that symbolizes Aries.
On this side of the argument, an example points to the story of Jesus' anger when he chased the money lenders from the temple. Some go so far as to intimate that Aries the Ram coincides with the imagery of the sacrificial "lamb."
Additional esoteric references indicate that the Ram imagery evolved from symbolism of the ass. Stories of biblical characters riding upon an ass occur frequently throughout the Holy Bible.
Characteristics of the ass are humility, strength, and perseverance. Metaphorically, such traits are necessary to have true spiritual commitment.
Still, others say that the Sun Sign was in Pisces when Christ Jesus was born. Pisces is represented by the planet Neptune, which is now emphasized as a planetary representative of religion. (Ironically, only a small percentage of Neptune is ever visible.) Neptune/Pisces represents suffering, as Jesus did on the cross.
More references supporting the idea that the Sun sign was in Pisces go to the history of the original twelve tribes of Israel. Pisces, symbolized as two fish, applies to the roots of Judaism, because these people were known as fishermen. They were also Jews, and Jesus was referred to as the King of the Jews.
Along with this portrayal comes the lesson of how Jesus caused the fish to multiply a thousand fold. In any event, if you go with the Pisces side of the argument, Jesus would have been born on February 6, 6 B.C. How could he have been born B.C.? Pisces/Neptune is also shrouded, and often confusing.
The astrological correspondence concerning the twelve tribes is seen in the astrological house system that is used fordeciphering astrology charts.
Some believe that Jesus was born in September, which would most likely make him a Virgo. Virgo is always associated with purity. In this case, the constellation Orion would have been the astrological factor.
A plethora of guesses concerning the exact date of Jesus' birth are yet in existence. Perhaps someday the mystery will be uncovered. Though it would be nice to know the true date of Christ's birthday, it's possibly meant to be an enigma that preserves the magic and wonderment of Christmas instead.

That's interesting, LB.
Interesting astrological take on this. Apart from this there have been some studies that speculate - based on the scanty historical information found in scripture, i.e. dates of Herod's reign and when censuses were taken - that Jesus may have been born in June.
