I found the recipes to these cookies on a site called http://cookie.betterrecipes.com. They have tons of recipes. There are appetizer recipes, bread recipes, meat recipes, and baking recipes. There are so many I couldn't even list them all. They also have a home improvement section, decorating, crafts, and a gardening section. This is a really fun site to go to. I recommend that you browse it and see how much they have to offer. Below you will find three recipes that I recommend. I have included the ingredients so that you can see how easy they are going to be to make. Many of these ingredients you already have in your home, so it is going to be quite convenient.
The first recipe is called Candy Cane Snickerdoodles. This sounds like a fun twist on regular snickerdoodles. This would be fun for Christmas. This one you might want to get the kids involved in making.
What you will need
Cinnamon, sugar, butter, vanilla, eggs, flour, cocoa, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, red food coloring
We can thank Ladyemps for this recipe.
The second recipe I know that you will want to make is called Peanut Butter Chocolate Shortbread. I love to have shortbread at this time of the year. It sounds even better with chocolate. Also, give me a nice cup of hot cocoa and things are just perfect.
What you will need
unsalted butter, powder sugar, vanilla, flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, salt, peanuts, peanut butter, chocolate chips, chocolate kisses
texaslinda3089089 submitted this one to the site. Thankyou!!! I'm looking forward to this one.
The last recipe that I am going to tell you about is called Pumpkin Crunch. These cookies are under the bar section at the website. They sound to me like they are going to be too yummy. This recipe would be great for Thanksgiving. Instead of having traditional pumpkin pie this would be a change.
What you will need
Cake mix, canned pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, butter, sugar, cinnamon, nuts
A big thank you to ltlphyl for this recipe.
Here are three fabulous recipe recommendations to get you started on your holiday baking. Everyone is going to want to know how you made these yummy treats. Be sure to send them to the website for more recipes. Have a wonderful holiday season.
