Christmas Traditions

Anne Marie
The candles on the mantle,
stockings hung with care,
Angel atop the tree,
Means christmas soon will be there.

The flames flicker and glow
The needles crunch and prick,
The presents, sparkle and glow,
Oh i do love christmas so.

Some light many candles,
eight white and black,
or others red and green,
To all they have some special meaning,

Some use pine trees
and others cedars,
Some make decorations
and some get none at all!

Many cook large feasts
Others go for simple treats,
Many travel and visit family and friends
Others stay home in the end.

Its time for the holidays once again,
For all the pomp and glamour
but tell me this
do your holidays ever truly end.

Many do without,
each holiday season,
Others have so much
They can give it all out,

A new tradition to grow on,
One that can mean so much
Buy for you and yours
And for those who need a helping touch!
