There are many places you can go to get your holiday decorations in Oregon. But, I guarantee there is no place like "Christmas Treasures" in Blue River, Oregon. This place has EVERYTHING. Open year round for the holiday spirit in all of us. Christmas Treasures is on Highway 126, on the way from Eugene to Bend. So, if you are on the way to go skiing this fall and winter at Mt. Bachelor, you will drive right by. Don't worry, there is no way you can miss this gem of a store. Christmas Treasures boasts the World's Tallest Lighted LIVE Christmas Tree with over 50,000 lights.

I stop in this store at least once every year, and make a tradition to get a new (or at least new-to-me) holiday treasure. Christmas Treasures has thousands of unique tree ornaments, new, used, collectible, antique, custom and locally-made for your tree trimming. There are wreaths, decorations, wall hangings, holiday miniatures, figures - big and little, candles, clothing, stockings, sleighs and more. This is definitely the place to find a unique gift for the hard to buy for person on your list this year.

Christmas Treasures is located at 52959 McKenzie Hwy Blue River, Oregon ph#800-820-8189 and has a great website Christmas Treasures with live web-cam links, pictures, directions, news clips and an online catalog. Their online catalog features many, many brands including - Boyd's Bears, Dept. 56, Snowbabies and Yankee Candle, and includes artificial trees, stands and lights. Christmas Treasures was established in 1993 and lighted it's 150 Douglas fir tree in holiday lights in 1994.

As you near Christmas Treasures you will see the bright green, red and white painted building, and many smiling Santas. Outside you will also see the 1941 Chevy Truck also painted in holiday cheer. Recently Sculptures made from chainsaw carvings are available also from a local artist. If you come in the evening you will see the glow from the brightly lit fir tree long before you reach the store.

You can find holiday decorations at every store, even the local gas station, any time after Halloween. But, there is something special about making the short trek to the Christmas Treasures store. Pack a lunch, a thermos of hot chocolate, bring along the kids and the sleds and make a day of it. Maybe even come prepared to chop down your perfect "Charlie Brown Tree." Bring the family and make a tradition to pick out that perfect, special holiday decoration. It is sure to quickly become a tradition that the whole family looks forward to, mine does.
