Once upon a time there was a Christmas Tree
And not one person knew that it used to speak to me.
It used to tell me jokes and stories
It used to sing and laugh and cry
Oh how I have so many memories
of the years that have gone by.
I will never forget that sad day
When some people took my tree away.
They took him away to live in the snow
I could tell that Christmas Tree did not want to go
but now I have a new tree,
Though it doesn't tell stories to me
I will never forget Christmas Tree
And how it used to speak to me
And not one person knew that it used to speak to me.
It used to tell me jokes and stories
It used to sing and laugh and cry
Oh how I have so many memories
of the years that have gone by.
I will never forget that sad day
When some people took my tree away.
They took him away to live in the snow
I could tell that Christmas Tree did not want to go
but now I have a new tree,
Though it doesn't tell stories to me
I will never forget Christmas Tree
And how it used to speak to me
