Christmas Tree Farms in Horry and Surrounding Counties

Victoria Williams
I searched Horry and the surrounding counties. I only found six tree farms that raise their own trees but I know as the time comes closer to Christmas tree sellers will pop up everywhere. The difference between the two is sellers buy their trees from a grower then raise the price to sell so they make a profit themselves. Farmers grow the trees and sell them so there is no middle man. To me that should mean lower prices.

When picking which tree farm to go to think of your needs first. The extras they offer are luxuries to add after you get your tree. Most importantly make sure you have a vehicle big enough to transport the tree you pick out without damage. If you don't maybe a farm that offers delivery is one to look at. Some farms are you pick and cut only. If you are not able to cut a tree down and carry to your car you are out of luck. You may need to go to one that cuts the tree you pick out and loads it for you. Then there are the extras. Spray on frosting, glitter, hayrides, hot cocoa, candy canes. Some places make wreaths out of cut off branches and other things. That is some other things to look at too.

I would call any tree farm before driving out to make sure they are open and for driving directions. Also, for price comparison you should call a few places. I have added a link HERE in case you need directions to any of the tree farms mentioned above.
