Christmas is right around the corner no matter if you want to face it or not and with Christmas comes Christmas Trees. One thing Wisconsin is never in a lack of is trees. The countryside is full of beautiful landscapes of trees, every kind you can imagine, with Scotch and White pine standing majestically, along with White and Colorado Blue Spruce, and Fraser Firs. It is truly a winter wonderland for Christmas. It was hard for me to narrow the top 10 Christmas Tree Farms down to just ten in Wisconsin, little lone just ten in my local area, there are so many to choose from. However, in order to give you a glimpse what is available, I narrowed it down to ten of the best Christmas Tree Farms in the Southeastern region of Wisconsin, and just a very small segment at that. These are in no specific order.

Country Side Trees gives you a variety of Christmas trees to choose. You can opt to cut your own or purchase one that has been previously cut. They offer shaking of your tree for removal of loose needles and baling. Also available are wreaths, garland, boughs, tree stands, disposal bags, gifts, and refreshments. Country Side Trees is open November 20 thru December 24. On weekdays, their hours are 10 am to 5 pm and weekends 9 am to 5 pm.They are located atW6611 North Walworth Road in Walworth Wisconsin. Evergreen Acres also offers the chose between cutting your own or purchasing a precut tree along with shaking, baling, wreaths, garland, boughs, and refreshments. One thing that Evergreen Acres offer extra is flocking of trees in a variety of colors. Evergreen Acres opens on November 28^th thru December 24, everyday from 9 am to 5 pm. Family Trees of East Troy is truly a family experience. Not only do they offer the ability to choose and cut your own tree or purchase a pre cut tree along with Christmas wreaths, tree shaking, and baling, they offer winter wagon rides. Something the whole family will enjoy that will add to the festivity of picking out that perfect tree. Family Trees of East Troy opens on Thanksgiving day thru December 24; Friday thru Sunday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm; and Monday thru Thursday 3 pm until 4:30 or dark. Sugar Creek Tree Farm is located at N6447 Church Road in Burlington Wisconsin and opens starting the Friday after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve seven days a week from 8 am - 5 pm. They offer only self-cut trees (no precuts). One thing different about Sugar Creek Tree Farm is the $3.00 Charlie Brown Trees they offer. Refreshments and boughs are also available. Green Acres Nursery has been selling Christmas Trees since 1948. They are located at 20203 West Lawnsdale Road in New Berlin Wisconsin. You can choose and cut your very own Christmas tree and Green Acres provides shaking, baling, and loading of your tree. No special frills with Green Acres, just good healthy trees; open November 28^th thru December 22; Monday thru Thursday from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm; and Friday thru Sunday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Prospect Hill Gardens offers much more then just Christmas trees. They offer a full day of fun on top of getting that perfect tree. Imagine going Christmas Tree shopping, strolling through the gorgeous Christmas trees that are precut for your convenience, picking out the perfect one, and while waiting for it to be shaken, bailed and loaded, you get to enjoy some refreshments while your children enjoy the petting zoo and face painting that are also housed on the garden grounds. While you are at Prospect Hills Garden, you can also pick out the perfect Christmas wreaths, boughs, Mistletoe, or some Christmas decorations. Schuett Farms LLC, located at W299 S6370, Hwy 83 in Mukwonago Wisconsin is a one-stop shop for various seasonal produce and decorations. For Christmas they offer precut Christmas trees, Christmas wreaths, boughs, your tree bagged and tied, fresh produce, snacks, refreshment stand, restrooms, and farm animals to enjoy. During mid summer, they sell sweet corn and other fresh garden produce. In the fall, they offer pumpkins, cornstalk bundles, straw, and many other fall decorations, a corn maze and a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, as well as hayrides on the weekends. They are open daily from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve from 10 am to dusk for your Christmas shopping needs. Yearlong, the Schuett Farm offers homegrown naturally fed beef, which is custom-cut and ready for your freezer. Paul's Tree Farm is housed on 80 acres of land used just to plant Christmas trees. Every spring new seedlings are planted to replace the ones that have been cut. They faithfully tend to them year round to ensure you get the best quality and shaped tree possible. You can walk the roaming acres and pick out the tree that is right for your family and home and cut it down. Paul's Tree Farm offers shaking and bailing of your tree as well as refreshments, wreaths, boughs, disposal bags, gifts/crafts, and hunting & pocket knives. At Out On A Limb Christmas Tree Farm, you can choose and cut your perfect tree as well as previous entries, and receive free shaking and bailing, but it is the extras that sets Out On A Limb Christmas Tree Farm apart from the others. Their wreaths, garland, and boughs are handmade on the premise, there is a historic log cabin you can visit, gifts/crafts, tractor & horse-drawn wagon rides, donuts, apple pie and a petting zoo. Tannenbaum Acres offers something very special that none of the above offer, they have live reindeer (Dasher and Prancer) and depending on the weather, they offer bobsledding and hay wagon rides. Like the rest you can choose and cut down your tree, as well as they offer shaking, baling, refreshments, wreaths, garland, boughs, tree stands, and gifts.
