Sticking to tradition, the city of Lewisville is encouraging residents to recycle their Christmas trees again this year. The Lewisville Parks and Leisure Services (PALS) will take leftover trees and turn them into mulch. Just take your tree to the Lake Park Athletic complex between December 15th and January 15th. The complex is located at Lake Park road and Mill street and signs will be posted. All ornaments, stands and decorations must be removed from the tree before dropping it off. Also, don't forget a container to take home some of the free fresh mulch. The leftover mulch will go to PALS for use in the one of the city's many park projects, like landing for playgrounds. So keep your tree out of the landfill and beautify your city.
