Christmas Cookie Wreaths
20 oz refrigerated cookie dough
2 cups coconut, shredded
3 drops of food coloring
Vanilla frosting
Green sugar
Red drops
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using half of the cookie dough mixture roll it out and either cut out or mold by hand round wreath cookie dough design. Once done, use the second half of the cookie dough. Put on cookie sheet and cook about 7-9 minutes. Remove and place on wire rack.
Put coconut and in food bag and shake well. Frost cookies and then decorate with coconut, green sugar and cinnamon candies. Make each one different.
Snowmen Cookies
20 oz refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 ½ cups sifted powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Candy corn, gum drops, licorice
Cut dough and roll into three sized sections for each section of the snowman. Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Let cool on wire rack. Mix powdered sugar and milk in bowl until smooth and pour over cookies. Let cookies stand about 20 minutes and then decorate using candy corn as nose, cutting up licorice as arms and scarf. Use gum drops for the hat and cut the gum drops in smaller pieces for buttons.
Gingerbread Cookies
2 cups peanut butter chips
1 ½ sticks butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
2 eggs
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon salt
Gingerbread cookie cutter
Microwave peanut butter chips until melted. Add butter and mix well. Then add brown sugar, corn syrup and eggs. Beat. Stir together in another bowl flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt. Beat in all ingredients and mix very well.
Refrigerate until dough is firm.
Heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly flour a board and roll to about 1/8 thickness. Use cookie cutter and cut into shapes. I use gingerbread, but you can make stars, holiday trees or any holiday design you choose.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and cook for 10-12 minutes. Let cool and frost making face arms etc...
Walnut Balls
1 cup walnuts, chopped
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cups flour
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
In large bowl cream butter sugar and ½ the sugar. Beat in ¾ cup of walnuts, flour and remaining sugar. Roll into long balls and cook at 350 Fahrenheit on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes.
Remove and let cook on wire rack. Melt chocolate with 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 cup of powdered sugar. Roll edges of balls in mixtures and add remaining walnuts.
