When you come out of the show your next stop would definitely want to be the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, with its many lights and bright colors. You might want to bring those ice skates you have tucked away and go ice-skating with your family. What better memory to have with your family then skating around this historic tree at Christmas time.
As you walk, because you really want to drive and miss all the sites on the way to your next destination you will find many street vendors. These vendors can have a lot of nice last minute gift ideas for that hard to get a gift for person. They are usually extremely reasonable priced, with some very unique items that are sure to please even the pickiest one on your list.
Next stop on your holiday train, walking train this is, would be the Empire State Building, so high and such a major part of New York City and its history. Go to the top of the building and look around this magnificent state. Then go upstairs and take the Skyride, hold on tight it will take you all around New York City in such a fun way for grown-ups and kids alike.
After this you can stroll the streets and see all the decorated and animated store windows. As you're strolling around of course you are going to have to walk past Macy's. Bring the kids and stop in to see Santa Claus! There is nothing quite like the Macy's Santa Claus and a picture of the kids with him. This is something your children will treasure forever.
By now, your feet are probably getting tired, so your next stop should be a nice cup of hot chocolate at a cozy café in Times Square. Sit and enjoy the sounds of Christmas music playing, drink your steaming hot chocolate and be thankful for your family. After your rest your last stop to end your perfect day would be to go on the famous horse and buggy ride through Central Park. On this ride you will pass many more beautiful sites in the park. It will be very cold, so enjoy that blanket they give you, cuddle close with your family and enjoy the ride.
In case I forgot to mention, have that camera ready with batteries fully charged to not miss any pictures of this magical day. There is so much to see, so much to do and it is guaranteed to make everyone in your family happy. Have a wonderful New York City Christmas!
