There are some simple ways to combat chronic fatigue syndrome. The first tip on this is keeping your blinds open in the morning, or just leaving enough room through your curtains for the sun to peek in. Sunlight is vital to your mood, and provides you with Vitamin D which is known to alleviate your mood and depression. Spend some time out in the sun if you can, and don't let more than one day go by where you sit in the house and read all day or watch television as this can ruin your overall health and make you lethargic.
The second simple step in keeping your fatigue level down is by drinking hot lemon water first thing in the morning when you awaken. Heat your water as hot as you can, and add a slice of lemon. According to Dr. Leonid Macheret of Partners in Wellness in Fairfield, Ohio, lemon is very astringent and can help to lift your metabolism and cleanse your body, so be sure to try this.
Once you are awake, go on a 15-minute walk to get your heart rate elevated. Working out in the morning can get you going with a burst of energy and is good for fatigue and depression. You can walk in the park or even a treadmill if you have one. If you have a gym membership than this is a good way to put it to use if you can't exercise at home.
Then, eat a decent breakfast that is high in protein and low in carbs. You can eat free-range eggs, and have turkey bacon or sausage to get you going. You can have a cup of coffee, or even a cup of green tea will be beneficial as well. If you aren't fond of any that you have tried, you can try a Jasmine Green tea. Jasmine is very floral and it's one of my personal favorites.
Last but not least, good supplementation is helpful. According to Dr. Randall Fick of Fick Chiropractic in Cincinnati, Ohio, Drenamin, made by Standard Process , is a product that is great for your adrenals and it's all natural. When you are lethargic or gaining weight, then this means that your adrenals are out of whack. This can throw you off and be one of the reasons that you feel the way you do. In addition, be sure you get plenty of sleep. The body does need to rest!
