What can I expect if I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

You can expect to have some of the symptoms above. You will need to take life a little slower for a while. Try to get as much rest as you need and drink a lot of fluids. You may also be prone to getting other viruses too, so watch how much contact you have with people for a while. Some patients have also experienced bouts with depression.

Just remember that even though there is no cure for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, many people with this condition can live a normal life. There are medications that your doctor can give to you to help treat the symptoms. There have actually been some people that no longer experience the symptoms after a period of time. The important thing is to get your proper rest and to eat nutritionally sound. This will help you not to get run down. It will also help your immune system to be able to fight against any viruses that might try to attack you.

Depression

Sometimes people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome will go through depression. Do not become alarmed if this happens to you. However, you do need to contact your physician so that he can give you medication to help. Just know that it isn't an uncommon thing to go through.
