Chuck Liddell Nude Workout Video with Girlfriend Shocking
Why was the UFC and MMA fighter ready to pose nude for Reebok? And how did he convince his girlfriend Heidi Northcott to participate in the nude workout video? Liddell, who is reportedly 40 years old, was wearing just a pair of Reebok ZigTech shoes. The nude workout video has become viral as it was intended to be.
Does a nude workout video draw attention? Will it help endorse a shoe like Reebok? It's certainly an eye catching video with Chuck Liddell in the buff exercising.
It's one of the oddest videos I've ever seen. How can you exercise in the nude? It feels more like a bad dream than a commercial for a product. There is an old saying though that any publicity is good publicity. Perhaps Reebok will gain more name recognition from getting Chuck Liddell on board. Liddell is well known for his UFC rivalry with Tito Ortiz and his stint on Dancing With The Stars.
Now he's going to be known for working out nude and producing a video that went viral. It's one of the most awkward moments I've ever seen. Chuck Liddell wasn't very good at dancing and maybe the same can be said for acting. Liddell is shown doing pullups with his girlfriend, also nude but censored, in the background. Liddell leaves that machine to work on his legs a bit and the censorship manages to follow Chuck to keep it R-Rated.
I don't exactly get what Reebok was trying to accomplish other than shock tactics. People will be shocked when they see the nude workout video. Will it sell shoes? That certainly remains to be seen. If Reebok wanted to get their new shoes in front of a bunch of people then this nude workout video will certainly serve it's purpose. The horrible thing is people will be stuck with a visual image of two nude people wearing just shoes if they decide to purchase a pair.
It's a horrible social media plan gone wrong. I give Chuck Liddell credit for having the nerve to do such a nude workout video. I just don't think such a video is smart for his career or Reebok. Who knows, maybe the public is ready for nude workout videos as part of corporate America? Nah, I doubt it. Keep your clothes on.

Post a CommentI think you and others writing have certainly made the video go viral as much as anything else, and the articles mentioning Reebok make the association that much more memorable. In that sense, it definitely works to Reebok's advantage. I took a look at the link you provided for the video. It was really no big deal. I would guess that most people buying the shoes are guys, so seeing Liddell is no big deal. Now if his girlfriend has been a bit closer to the camera I would guess it would have gone much more 'viral'. But that's probably simply good marketing on Reebok's part. As it is, people remember the association with Reebok. Had she been much more 'visible', iI think then everyone would be remembering her and not thinking about Reebok is they see or hear something about the video. If you look at it objectively, I think one has to give kudo's to Reebok's advertising group.
