Which is why at Evangel Cathedral in Spartanburg, South Carolina. we have many exciting opportunities to get involved in the events and things happening at church, including our small groups. Which are just as the name signifies, very small groups of people who get together once a week or a few times a month to worship and fellowship. Not only getting to know each other better, but also sharing life's heartaches and problems with those who have similar things going on in their own lives. Our small group meetings are a very uplifting and rewarding experience. Many of the home groups offered by individuals and groups of people at Evangel Cathedral include groups that cater to a specific, individual desire or hobby. Such as study of the bible, adult fellowship, couples fellowship, men's fellowship, receiving encouragement from others, groups that are geared toward family and parenting, financial planning, encouragement for women and many others.

Some of the specific groups that are being featured this year include the following, A Bible study fellowship group which takes place every 2nd Sunday of each month at the home of one of the members of Evangel Cathedral. This group will be studying the life of David in the bible and will also pray and enjoy a meal together. The best thing about this group is that children are included and are able to play together and then enjoy the meal with their family.
Jesus In The Streets is another encouraging group that actually takes to the streets to minister to those who really need to hear the word of the lord. This group meets the 2^nd and 4^th weeks of every month. There is no requirements for this group other than a passion for finding lost souls and helping those who desperately need it. Keepers Of The Home is a group consisting of godly women who are studying their way through the bible in hopes of bringing what they learn to their own lives and homes. They meet every Wednesday from 11:00 until 12:30 at Evangel Cathedral. This group requires you have a bible, notebooks and to purchase their New Inductive Bible Study Series for only $7.00.

Evangel Cathedral is a multi dominational and culturally diverse church, with many nationalities of people. We try to ensure that there is always something available for everyone. Such as the group Discerning The Jewish Roots of Christianity which takes place on the 2^nd and 4^th Saturdays of each month at Evangel Cathedral in Spartanburg. This group is exploring and learning about the Jewish roots of Christian faith. This friendly group of people welcomes adults, children and guests to its weekly Shabba and gatherings to participate in worship. If you have children who are interested in getting involved in a small group then our group, Kids Praise would be perfect for them. This is a singing an drama group where the kids will be learning songs and a short play. The children's group meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 in the children's wing at Evangel. Understanding homosexuality is an encouragement group for those who are struggling through this season in their life and their family members.
