Ciara Fails Again: Her Sophomore Album is a Failure, as is Her Career
The vocals are lacking something on each and every song. On "Promise", the vocals are lacking the emotion that should be conveyed through the songs lyrics. On the mediocre "That's Right", featuring Lil Jon, Ciara's vocal hold no power whatsoever. On the otherwise decent, "Like a Boy", a lack of individuality is present. These flaws will thankfully spell the doom of Ciara.
If Ciara was not famous for being Ciara, her career would essentially be over. Thankfully for Ciara, she has rappers, big-name producers, and other measly gimmicks to assist her in her failing endeavors. On her last album produced in 2004, Ciara was only an 18-year-old still trying to find her place in the competitive world of the music industry. Note to Ciara: you are now 21. Stop trying to forge your way into further success because you are ultimately going to fail.
Imagine if Ciara were not as attractive as she is. Would she really be famous? Her vocals and apparent rushed production would kill her career. Once again, Ciara is saved by her good looks. There are numerous songs on the album that are flat-out failures. There are songs on the album that should never have been recorded. Let's take "I Proceed" for example... horrid. Because Ciara has rap superstars such as 50 Cent on her side, they are the only source rescuing her appalling CD!
Why is R&B in such a decline today? Look no further than albums such as Ciara's latest, The Evolution. The songs are dreadful, shallow songs that attempt to impersonate success but fail miserably.
Overall, look extremely far elsewhere if you are on the search for a CD that possesses powerful lyrics, memorable songs, and a meaningful message produced by a lasting artist, as Ciara is clearly none of these as proven by her sophomore album, The Evolution. In contrast, purchase her CD if you want some boring music to accompany the mood set by a knife scraping on a plate. Ciara's career will evaporate faster than Clay Aiken's if she keeps promoting and producing dreadful CDs.

dayyuuuummmm u hatin hard as shit!! idk what you have against a talented artist and good music but the last time i checked hittin #1 on the billboards and selling 3 millions plus beating out eminem & gwen stefani is not a failure!! get up, promise, my love, and like a boy, and that's right are just some of the songs that set her apart from other artists and established her as a powerhouse artist, so whenever you decide to stop hatin listen to her album again!!
