Cincinnati Bengals: Always Giving Their All

This is definitely a team with a lot of heart. The fans are always behind them, faithful and true no matter what. That is the beauty of true sportmanship. They are playing a little better this year then they have been, but it really doesn't even matter. When we look a little closer, they are already winners. We are going to have a stroll around the community to see what the Bengals are up to.

The Bengals support the local flag football leagues. They are there to support the Cincinnati All-Stars, taking them all the way to the NFL FLAG National Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida. They qualified when they won the regional tournament in Chicago back in October.

The Bengals have teamed up with FreestoreFoodbank to feed the hungry in their area. There was a recent drive right before the Eagles game. The Bengals fans donated 7,630 pounds of non parishable and canned goods. They also gave about $8,020 in cash to help feed their community. The Bengals want to thank their fans who obviously have big hearts. The Bengals have recently donated $8,000 to local charities to better the community in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Huddle Up is a program where the Bengals make a particular area look better. Together with about 300 volunteers to fix a local basketball court with paint and new state-of-the-art equipment. They planted flowers and did other things to make this a better place for the kids. Here is what left tackle Levi Jones had to say, "it's not the kids' fault were 0-5. This is for them. All this nice equipment is so they can live healthier. Get them out of the house and away from the PlayStation."

The ex Rams player had much to say as well. Take it how you want but the man makes a wonderful point, so I have to commend him on this. "Not saying anything bad about the other team I played on, but this team in terms of being involved in the community and going to team functions and team-sponsored events, we take a lot more pride in it," Fitzpatrick said.

Bengals quarterback Carson palmer along with Browns QB Derek Anderson team up to help the orphaned animals. They collaborated with Iams Home 4 the Holidays so that they can get the word out about the orphaned animals. They announce the importance of adopting animals on the field before the game and all through football season. Iams has even make a promise to donate 10 pounds of dog food for every complete pass during the season to the shelter of their choice and for both teams.

The players get involved with so much more, such as reading and school functions. They also help with organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House as well. It's a wonder why the fans love their Bengals so much. It's obvious that it is more then a game to them. The Bengals get right down to the heart of things where it matters the most.
