Mama tickle me again
As I giggle and coo
Nothing better in the world
Than spending time with you.
Mommy help, where are you
I've fallen and skinned my knee
Hurry quick, I need some hugs
Then some milk and cookies.
Mom I want to spend the night
With my best friend Sue
Slumber party at her house
I must be there too.
Mother can I borrow the car
I simply must go to the mall
My new boyfriend is waiting there
He's just dreamy and oh so tall.
Mama can I come back home
Work and college are very tough
Laundry, bills, and cleaning too
I need mama, I've had enough.

Beautiful poem!
So true isn't it.

LOL, awesome!
Like Cami said, this was a bittersweet read as it reminds me that my children are growing up very fast.
Very nice - it brought a tear to my eye as I know one day my little girl will be grown and on her own..Sigh..
Such a delightful write... and says so much. A truly enjoyable read :)
I read your poem, think of my little girls and little boy as they lay sleeping upstairs, and I want to sing to them in my best Jim Croce, "If I could save time in a bottle, The first thing that Id like to do, Is to save every day Till eternity passes away, Just to spend them with you." Great poem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That says it all!
